Two medieval draughts varieties
In the Middle Ages, draughts must have been played in two several ways: Roman draughts, with a short doubleton or king, and Arabic draughts, with a long king. Click here for my arguments. Below three computer games with a short king and three games with a long king. The games were played on a 500 MHz computer with 30 seconds thinking time every move. Basis: the program written by the Zillions people. The pieces move in any direction except backwards, the kings move in any direction and capturing is not obliged.
The three games in Roman draughts are longer and ended in a draw; the three games in Arabic draughts are shorter and the second player, White, won twice.
